In The BFG, Roald Dahl's huge but friendly giant snatches Sophie from her bed in the middle of the night and carries her back to his castle but instead of gobbling her up for breakfast, the giant draws Sophie into a great adventure. Together, Sophie and the BFG (big friendly giant) set out to rid the world of other less kindly giants.
